Each TGV Lyria train has eight carriages:
- three 1st class carriages
- four 2nd class carriages
- one buffet car located in the middle of the train for use by all passengers.
All TGV Lyria trains are entirely non-smoking.
TGV Lyria carriages are numered as follows : coach 1 to 8 or coach 11 to 18.
Please note: there are several different types of trains operating on TGV Lyria lines, therefore the internal layout may vary.

Two different types of rolling stock are currently operating on the Paris-Geneva line (the TGV Lyria and the TGV Lyria Duplex).
