Your pet can travel with you on board TGV Lyria trains, but you must respect certain rules…

If your pet weighs less than 6kg

Small domestic animals (maximum 2 per person) transported in containers (closed bags or baskets measuring 45 x 30 x 25 cm maximum) can travel free of charge on board TGV Lyria trains. In this case, no ticket is required. If a passenger has more than 2 containers, a “Normal adulte” (Normal adult) TGV Lyria ticket must be purchased for each additional container.

If your pet weighs more than 6kg

TGV Lyria offers a special “Animaux” (Pets) fare which you can obtain at your usual SNCF or CFF point of sale.

Good to know

Before taking your seat, please ensure that the other passengers do not object to the presence of your pet. You must also ensure that your dog is muzzled and on a lead.

Assistance dogs and guide dogs for the blind

Disabled assistance dogs and guide dogs for the blind travel free of charge on TGV Lyria trains and do not require a ticket. These dogs are not required to wear a muzzle.
